Description:
The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources has issued an Air

Ozaukee, Racine, Sheboygan, Walworth, Washington, Waukesha.
WHAT...The PM2.5 AQI is expected to reach the Unhealthy for
Sensitive Groups level.
WHERE...Lake Michigan Shoreline
WHEN...From noon Thursday through noon Friday
Precautionary/Preparedness Actions:
Sensitive groups: Make outdoor activities shorter and less
intense. It is OK to be active outdoors but take more breaks.
Watch for symptoms such as coughing or shortness of breath.
People with asthma: Follow your asthma action plan and keep quick
relief medicine handy. People with heart disease: Symptoms such
as palpitations, shortness of breath, or unusual fatigue may
indicate a serious problem. If you have any of these, contact
your health care provider.
Additional Details:
Overall, conditions will continue to improve with vertical mixing
throughout the day today. However, observations from yesterday
coupled with guidance this morning suggests a pool of smoke still
trapped within the marine layer over Lake Michigan. Once the lake
breeze initiates this afternoon, higher PM2.5 concentrations are
expected with the onshore flow.
