Description:
At 255 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
most of the heavy rain had moved out of Lubbock. However, between
0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts
up to 0.2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is
ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.

Lubbock, Lubbock International Airport, Woodrow, Reese Center,

Instruction:
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
