Southern Polk County in southwestern Missouri...
* Until 945 AM CDT Saturday.
* At 149 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain
have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 0.5 to 1.5 inches in 1
hour. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

Springfield, Republic, Battlefield, Strafford, Greenfield,
Willard, Ash Grove, Fair Grove, Walnut Grove, Pleasant Hope,
Morrisville, Everton, Brookline, Dadeville, Aldrich, Cave Springs,
Sacville, Glidewell, Bois D'arc, Ebenezer, Brighton, Eudora,
Galloway, Bassville, Bona, Turners, Neola and Stockton Lake.

Asher Creek at 560 Road, Wilson Creek at Farm Road 156, Sac River
at County Road 1247, Clear Creek at Farm Road 87, Cabin Creek at
Cabin Creek Road, Slagle Creek at 86 Road and Wilson Creek at Farm

Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Many flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
