At 351 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 0.5 to 1.5 inches in 1 hour. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Springfield, Republic, Battlefield, Strafford, Greenfield, Willard, Ash Grove, Fair Grove, Walnut Grove, Pleasant Hope, Morrisville, Everton, Brookline, Dadeville, Aldrich, Cave Springs, Sacville, Glidewell, Bois D'arc, Ebenezer, Brighton, Eudora, Galloway, Bassville, Bona, Turners, Neola and Stockton Lake. This includes the following low water crossings... Asher Creek at 560 Road, Wilson Creek at Farm Road 156, Sac River at County Road 1247, Clear Creek at Farm Road 87, Cabin Creek at Cabin Creek Road, Slagle Creek at 86 Road and Wilson Creek at Farm Road 146.
