Description:
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...The following counties in central North Carolina,
Alamance, Chatham, Lee, Montgomery, Moore, Randolph, Richmond and
Scotland.
* WHEN...Until 1100 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 749 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain
have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts around 1 inch are expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.

Southern Pines, Rockingham, Carthage, Siler City, Pinehurst,
Hamlet, Aberdeen, Hoffman, Goldston, Whispering Pines,
Liberty, Pinebluff, Robbins, Ellerbe, Foxfire, Dobbins
Heights, Taylortown, Gibson, Staley and Norman.

Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
