Description:
Light to moderate rainfall with embedded thunderstorms producing
brief heavier rainfall will continue through at least 4 AM early
this morning.
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of northwest Texas, including the following
counties, Hale and Lamb.
* WHEN...Until 500 AM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 238 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is
ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area.
Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Plainview, Littlefield, Abernathy, Hale Center, Olton, Earth,
Petersburg, Sudan, Amherst, Cotton Center, Fieldton, Spade,
Halfway, Seth Ward, Edmonson and Springlake.

Instruction:
