* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of eastern New York, including the following counties, Albany, Rensselaer, Saratoga and Schenectady. * WHEN...Until 400 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1259 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 1.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Albany, Schenectady, Troy, Clifton Park, Rotterdam, East Greenbush, Cohoes, Watervliet, Rensselaer, Colonie, Scotia, Latham, Delmar, Guilderland, Niskayuna, Menands, Voorheesville, Green Island, Waterford and Altamont. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
