...The Flood Advisory continues for the following rivers in
Louisiana...Mississippi...Arkansas...
Mississippi River At Vicksburg affecting Madison, Warren,
Jefferson, Claiborne and Tensas Counties.
Mississippi River Near Greenville affecting East Carroll, Chicot,
Washington and Issaquena Counties.
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
* WHERE...Mississippi River at Vicksburg.
* WHEN...Until Wednesday, June 04.
* IMPACTS...At 41.2 feet, Long Lake Road is under water starting
where the low road to the island takes off south. Access to Long
Lake Community requires a boat. Chickasaw Road goes under water
just west of the Chickasaw Community.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:00 PM CDT Sunday the stage was 41.3 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall to 30.7 feet Sunday,
June 15.
- Action stage is 35 feet.
- Flood stage is 43 feet.
Instruction:
If you encounter a flooded roadway, turn around and find an
alternative route.
