* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...A portion of south central Montana, including the following county, south central Big Horn. * WHEN...Until 600 AM MDT Tuesday. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos. Overflowing poor drainage areas. River and stream flows are elevated. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 854 PM MDT, Emergency Management reported many creeks and streams at or near bankfull due to heavy rain in the advisory area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain has fallen over the past 24 hours. Additional light rain is expected this evening. Expect minor flooding of small creeks and streams as well as inundation of low lying areas adjacent to streams. - Highway 313 between Hardin and Saint Xavier is reported to have water on the road. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Lodge Grass, Crow Agency, Fort Smith, Wyola, St. Xavier, Rosebud Battlefield Park, Kirby, Bighorn Lake, Crow Indian Reservation and Northern Cheyenne Indian Reservation. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Do not drive on or attempt to cross flooded roads, find an alternate route. Roads and driveways may be damaged or washed out in places. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads. Please report observed flooding to local emergency officials and request they pass the information to the National Weather Service in Billings.
