Description:
* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of southwest Missouri, including the following
counties, Dade and Greene.
* WHEN...Until 530 AM CDT Saturday.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is
imminent.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1126 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream
flooding. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen.
- This includes the following low water crossings...
Wilson Creek at Farm Road 156, Sac River at County Road 1247,
Clear Creek at Farm Road 87, Wilson Creek at Farm Road 146
and Wilson's Creek at Farm Road 150.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Springfield, Republic, Battlefield, Strafford, Willard, Ash
Grove, Brookline, Glidewell, Ebenezer, Galloway, Bois D'arc
and Turners.

Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Many flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
