Description:
* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of eastern New York, including the following
counties, Columbia, Dutchess, Greene and Ulster.
* WHEN...Until 800 AM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 448 AM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
indicated heavy rain. This will cause urban and small stream
flooding. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen with
hourly rainfall rates ranging up to 0.50 - 0.75 inches. Rates
may reach up to 1 inch per hour through early this morning.

Poughkeepsie, Kingston, Beacon, New Paltz, Ellenville,
Saugerties, Rhinebeck, Wallkill, Hyde Park, Milton,
Plattekill, Pleasant Valley, Hurley, Woodstock, Wappingers
Falls, Highland, Fishkill, Clermont, Red Hook and
Olivebridge.

Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
