Description:
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
* WHERE...Portions of central and south central Nebraska, including
the following counties, in central Nebraska, Sherman. In south
central Nebraska, Buffalo and Dawson.
* WHEN...Until 430 AM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 358 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is
already occurring in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2
inches of rain have fallen.
- This includes the following streams and drainages...
Wiggle Creek, South Loup River, Turkey Creek, Platte River,
Cedar Creek, Sweet Creek, Bell Creek, North Channel Platte
River, Dry Creek, Clear Creek, Beaver Creek, Rock Creek,
Johnson Lake Area, Plum Creek, Swenson Creek, Rusco Creek,
Wood River, Spring Creek, Mud Creek, Deer Creek, Middle Loup
River, Spring Branch Creek, Gallagher Canyon State Recreation
Area, Sand Creek, Buffalo Creek, Elm Creek, Oak Creek and
Bloody Run Creek.
Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.

Lexington, Ravenna, Elm Creek, Overton, Odessa, Pleasanton,
Litchfield, Amherst, Riverdale, Rockville, Hazard and Poole.

Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
