* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...Portions of central and south central Nebraska, including the following counties, in central Nebraska, Sherman. In south central Nebraska, Buffalo and Dawson. * WHEN...Until noon CDT Tuesday. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 400 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated light rain continues across the Advisory area, but the heaviest rain has ended. Much of the Advisory area has received 1 to 3 inches of rain. The previous rain combined with another half inch possible thorugh early Tuesday morning will cause continued flooding of small streams and poor drainage areas for the next several hours. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Oak Creek, Beaver Creek, Plum Creek, Buffalo Creek, Sand Creek, Mud Creek, Turkey Creek, East Branch Turkey Creek, Dry Creek, Elm Creek, Clear Creek, Spring Creek. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Lexington, Ravenna, Elm Creek, Overton, Odessa, Pleasanton, Litchfield, Amherst, Riverdale, Rockville, Hazard and Poole. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
Instruction: 
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
