* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of east central Missouri, including the following counties, central Crawford and northwestern Washington. * WHEN...Until 830 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. River or stream flows are elevated. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 619 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Steelville, Anthonies Mill, Leasburg, Cherryville, Richwoods and Cook Station. - This includes the following State Parks... Onondaga Cave State Park.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
