Wapsipinicon River near De Witt 4S affecting Scott and Clinton
Counties.
* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring.
* WHERE...Wapsipinicon River near De Witt 4S.
* WHEN...Until early Tuesday morning.
* IMPACTS...At 12.0 feet, Overbank flooding occurs. Water affects
residences along the river between Wheatland and Calamus. Water
affects businesses along the river near Calamus.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 7:30 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 12.2 feet.
- Forecast...The river is cresting around 12.2 feet this
evening and will begin to fall late tonight. It will then
fall below flood stage Monday afternoon.
- Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
Instruction:
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
