Description:
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Portions of central, southeast, and southern Oklahoma,
including the following counties, in central Oklahoma, Canadian,
Cleveland, Grady, Lincoln, McClain, Oklahoma and Pottawatomie. In
southeast Oklahoma, Johnston and Marshall. In southern Oklahoma,
Carter, Garvin, Murray and Stephens.
* WHEN...Until 430 PM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Streams
continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1229 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the warned area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain
have fallen.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Oklahoma City, Norman, Edmond, Moore, Midwest City, Ardmore,
Del City, El Reno, Chickasha, Newcastle, Blanchard, Pauls
Valley, Purcell, Sulphur, Davis, Yukon, Bethany, Mustang,
Choctaw and Warr Acres.

Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.
