...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Texas...
Canadian River at Amarillo 19N affecting Potter County.
For the Canadian River...including Amarillo 19N...Minor flooding is
forecast.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Canadian River at Amarillo 19N.
* WHEN...Until late tomorrow morning.
* IMPACTS...At 7.0 feet, Dirt road that runs east alongside the
river channel becomes flooded. This road leads to Rosita Creek
Flats Recreation Area, where primitive camping occurs.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 2:00 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 4.4 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 7.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river will rise to 7.5 feet early this
evening. The river will fall to 5.1 feet early tomorrow
afternoon. It will then rise to 5.9 feet early Thursday
morning. It will fall to 3.1 feet early Saturday afternoon
then rise again.
- Flood stage is 7.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
7.7 feet on 08/10/1996.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
