...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in New
Mexico...
Vermejo River Above Dawson affecting Colfax County.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Vermejo River above Dawson.
* WHEN...Until Wednesday morning.
* IMPACTS...At 8.0 feet the Vermejo river will overflow its banks
and flood low lying land nearby.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 12:45 PM MDT Tuesday the stage was 4.4 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 8.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
just after midnight tonight to a crest of 9.4 feet tomorrow
morning. It will then fall below flood stage tomorrow
morning.
- Flood stage is 9.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
9.4 feet on 07/25/1977.
