Canadian River at Amarillo 19N affecting Potter County.
For the Canadian River...including Amarillo 19N...Minor flooding is
forecast.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Canadian River at Amarillo 19N.
* WHEN...Until this afternoon.
* IMPACTS...At 7.0 feet, Dirt road that runs east alongside the
river channel becomes flooded. This road leads to Rosita Creek
Flats Recreation Area, where primitive camping occurs.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 12:15 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 4.3 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 7.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river will fall to 5.1 feet this afternoon. It
will then rise to 7.0 feet just after midnight tonight. It
will fall to 4.9 feet early Thursday morning.
- Flood stage is 7.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
7.3 feet on 09/20/2013.

Instruction:
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
