* IMPACTS...At 12.0 feet, The C&O Canal overflows at the Great Falls
Tavern. Water covers the towpath in many areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:45 AM EDT Thursday the stage was 10.7 feet, or 0.7 feet
above flood stage.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 9:45 AM EDT Thursday was 10.7 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 12.1
feet this evening. It will then fall below flood stage
tomorrow evening.
