...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Louisiana...
Mississippi River At Baton Rouge affecting East Baton Rouge and
West Baton Rouge Parishes.
Mississippi River At Red River Landing affecting East Baton Rouge,
Pointe Coupee and West Feliciana Parishes.
For the Lower Mississippi River...including Baton Rouge, Red River
Landing...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Mississippi River at Baton Rouge.
* WHEN...Until early Saturday afternoon.
* IMPACTS...At 36.0 feet, River traffic and industrial activity on
the river side of the levees will be greatly affected.
Navigational safety regulations will be strictly enforced.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:00 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 36.2 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 29.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 36.3
feet this afternoon. The river is expected to fall below
flood stage early Saturday afternoon.
- Flood stage is 35.0 feet.
