Illinois River near Tahlequah affecting Cherokee County. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Illinois River near Watts. * WHEN...From this morning to late Monday morning. * IMPACTS...At 13.0 feet, minor flooding occurs from the Arkansas border to near Fidler's Bend. Extreme turbulence makes the river unsafe for floating. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:30 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 4.4 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage tomorrow evening to a crest of 13.5 feet early Monday morning.
