James River near Boaz affecting Stone and Christian Counties.
For the James River...including Boaz...Moderate flooding is forecast.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
forecast.
* WHERE...James River near Boaz.
* WHEN...Until Wednesday morning.
* IMPACTS...At 18.0 feet, Moderate Flood Stage. Water approaches
structures near the river. Approximate level of the one percent
chance flood.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:45 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 16.4 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 10.0 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 9:45 PM CDT Saturday was 16.4 feet.
- Forecast...The river will fall below flood stage early
tomorrow afternoon to 9.2 feet early Monday morning. It will
then rise above flood stage early Monday morning to 13.0 feet
Monday evening. It will fall below flood stage again Tuesday
morning.
