...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Kansas... Whitewater River at Towanda affecting Butler County. Whitewater River at Augusta affecting Butler and Cowley Counties. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Whitewater River at Augusta. * WHEN...From late tonight to late Thursday morning. * IMPACTS...At 24.0 feet, Flood waters begin to flow over Southwest 70th Street just east of the river bridge located 3 miles northwest of Augusta and flows across Southwest 60th Street near the river bridge located about 4 miles northwest of town. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:15 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 19.3 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage just after midnight tonight to a crest of 23.4 feet early tomorrow afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage late tomorrow evening. - Flood stage is 21.0 feet.
