Walnut River at Arkansas City affecting Cowley County. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Arkansas River at Arkansas City. * WHEN...Until late Monday evening. * IMPACTS...At 11.0 feet, Flooding of agricultural lands can be expected with bank overflows on west side of river. West Chestnut Avenue west of the river floods, expect road closure. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 3:00 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 11.7 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 12.0 feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below flood stage Monday afternoon. - Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
