* WHAT...Flooding caused by snowmelt is occurring. * WHERE...Kuparuk River, Spine Road, Kuparuk River Bridge and all other roads near the River. * WHEN...Until 400 PM AKDT Friday. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 149 PM AKDT, high water from rapid snowmelt over the past five days has caused rising water levels along the Kuparuk River, resulting in minor flooding near the river's mouth. - Floodwaters have been reported flowing over low-lying crossings on Spine Road, which remains closed to all traffic. - River levels are expected to crest within the next 24 to 48 hours, followed by a gradual decline through the end of the week. Continued impacts to infrastructure near the river's mouth are possible as elevated water levels persist. - Personnel in the area are urged to use caution and avoid flooded roadways. - http://www.weather.gov/aprfc
