Description:
* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.
* WHERE...Portions of east central, north central, and northeast New
Mexico, including the following areas, in east central New Mexico,
Quay County. In north central New Mexico, East Slopes Sangre de
Cristo Mountains. In northeast New Mexico, Eastern San Miguel
County, Far Northeast Highlands, Harding County, Johnson and
Bartlett Mesas Including Raton Pass, Northeast Highlands and Union
County.
* WHEN...Through this afternoon.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur
in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may be
flooded.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Multiple rounds of rainfall will continue through today.
Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are
expected, though higher amounts up to 2 inches are possible.
After recent rainfall, the potential for runoff with increase
due to wetter soils.

should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
