Description:
* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.
* WHERE...Portions of central and western Arkansas, including the
following areas, in central Arkansas, Northwest Yell County, Perry
and Yell Excluding Northwest. In western Arkansas, Central and
Eastern Montgomery County, Central and Southern Scott County,
Northern Montgomery County Higher Elevations, Northern Polk County
Higher Elevations, Northern Scott County, Polk County Lower
Elevations, Southeast Polk County Higher Elevations, Southern and
Eastern Logan County, Southwest Montgomery County Higher
Elevations and Western and Northern Logan County.
* WHEN...Through Tuesday morning.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water
crossings may be flooded.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches with locally greater
amounts in excess of 4 to 5 inches will be possible in the
watch area Monday afternoon through late Monday night. Much
of this rain is expected where soils are currently very
saturated from antecedent rainfall, and training
thunderstorms will quickly lead to flash flooding concerns.
