...CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS EXPECTED IN NORTHEASTERN
MINNESOTA AND IN NORTHWESTERN WISCONSIN TODAY...
.Breezy south-southwesterly to southerly winds gusting to 25 to
30 mph Sunday along with relative humidity values as low as
15 percent will lead to critical fire weather conditions across
northeastern Minnesota and northwestern Wisconsin today.
Additional breezy southerly winds and low relative humidity
values on Monday and possibly Tuesday may lead to additional
critical fire weather conditions.
The National Weather Service in Duluth has issued a Fire Weather
Watch for wind and low relative humidity, which is in effect from
Monday afternoon through Monday evening.
* AFFECTED AREA...In Minnesota, Pine.
* WINDS...South 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.
* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 17 percent.
* IMPACTS...Any fires that ignite will spread rapidly and become
difficult to control. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
