North Central Chaves County in southeastern New Mexico... * Until 245 PM MDT. * At 149 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 6 miles east of Mesa, or 39 miles southwest of Fort Sumner, moving northeast at 25 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. * Locations impacted include... Mainly rural areas of South Central De Baca and North Central Chaves Counties.
