Description:
At 515 PM CDT/415 PM MDT/, a severe thunderstorm was located near Jal
Airport, or 8 miles northeast of Jal, moving northeast at 25 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.
This severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
southeastern Lea and northwestern Andrews Counties.
Instruction:
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 900 PM CDT/800 PM MDT/ for
southeastern New Mexico...and western Texas.
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
