At 514 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Denver International Airport, or 17 miles northeast of Denver, moving east at 20 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include... Northern Aurora, northeastern Thornton, Commerce City, Brighton, Denver International Airport, D.I.A Terminal and Concourses, Barr Lake, Todd Creek and Henderson.

Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds and large hail. If on or near a lake, get away from the water and move indoors or inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to 15 miles from the parent thunderstorm.
