Description:
At 747 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Oakley, moving
north at 25 mph.
HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Mesonet. The Oakley Airport reported a wind gust of 67 mph.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable
tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes,
roofs, and outbuildings.
This severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
southeastern Thomas, eastern Logan, southwestern Sheridan and
northwestern Gove Counties, including the following locations...
Angelus.
This includes Interstate 70 in Kansas between mile markers 65 and 95.
Instruction:
Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
