South Mobile Bay...
* Until 1100 PM CDT.
* At 1002 PM CDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 8 nm south of Petit Bois Pass to 20 nm southwest of
Farewell Buoy, moving north at 20 knots.
HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater and small hail.
SOURCE...Radar.
IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and
suddenly higher waves.
* Locations impacted include...
Central Dauphin Island, Sand Island Lighthouse, Fort Gaines,
Dauphin Island Bridge, Western Dauphin Island, Farewell Buoy, Petit
Bois Pass, Mississippi Sound East Of Pascagoula, Heron Bay, and
Alabama Port.
Instruction:
Frequent lightning is occurring with these storms. If caught on the
open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded
metal objects.
