Coastal waters from Altamaha Sound to Fernandina Beach FL out 20 NM... * Until 315 PM EDT. * At 215 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located 11 nm southwest of Jekyll Island, or 17 nm southwest of St. Simons Island, moving east at 20 knots. HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. * Locations impacted include... St Simons Island Village, High Point, St. Simons Island, Saint Andrews Sound, Buoy Kby, Buoy F, Dungeness, St Simons Sound Buoy 9, Saint Marys Entrance Buoy 16, Cumberland Island, Jekyll Island, and Buoy Cdh.
