* Special Marine Warning for...
Waters from South Santee River to Edisto Beach out 40 NM...
* Until 445 PM EDT.
* At 238 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing
waterspouts were located along a line from 11 NM northeast of Cape
Romain Reef to over Edisto Sixty Reef, moving east at 30 knots.
HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts to 40 knots.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create
locally hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged
in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves.
* Locations impacted include...
Y-73 Reef, Capers Mid Shelf, Comanche Reef, Doug Mellichamp Reef
and Edisto Buoy.
Instruction:
Move to safe harbor until hazardous weather passes.
