* Special Marine Warning for...
Waters from South Santee River SC to Savannah GA out 40 NM...
* Until 345 PM EDT.
* At 253 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing
waterspouts were located along a line from near Edisto Sixty Reef
to near Betsy Ross Reef, moving east at 35 knots.
HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts to nearly 50 knots.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create
locally hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged
in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves.
* Locations impacted include...
Edisto Offshore Reef, Edisto Sixty Reef, Edisto Forty Reef,
Hunting Island Reef, Fripp Island Reef, Fripp Island Wreck and
Betsy Ross Reef.
