For the following areas... Coastal waters from Freeport to Matagorda Ship Channel TX out 20 NM... Coastal waters from High Island to Freeport TX out 20 NM... Galveston Bay... Waters from Freeport to Matagorda Ship Channel TX from 20 to 60 NM... Waters from High Island to Freeport TX from 20 to 60 NM... At 1128 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing waterspouts were located along a line extending from near Rollover Pass to near High Island A61 to 11 nm northeast of Brazos A4, moving east at 15 knots. Wind gusts in southeast Galveston Bay could be up to 35 to 40 knots as the line pushes through. Farther offshore, gusts up to 45 to 50 knots and a few waterspouts are possible. HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts up to 50 knots offshore. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. Locations impacted include...
