Description:
At 900 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Fort Gay, or near Louisa, moving northeast at 50 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Ona, Beech Fork State Park, Lavalette, West Hamlin, Barboursville,
Fort Gay, Huntington, Buchanan, Burnaugh, Centerville, Proctorville,
Salt Rock, Wayne, Pea Ridge, Fallsburg, Hamlin, Yatesville Lake State
Park, Milton, Louisa, and Athalia.
This includes Interstate 64 in West Virginia between mile markers 8
and 30.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 100 AM EDT for
northeastern Kentucky.
