Description:
At 146 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Masseyville, or 8 miles southeast of Chickasaw State Forest, moving
east at 55 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Selmer, Pickwick Dam, Masseyville, Reagan, Crump, Westover, Madison
Hall, Bruton Branch, Rock Hill, Pickwick Landing State Park,
Silerton, Acton, Theo, Walkertown, Hinson Springs, Cerro Gordo,
Pinson Mounds State Archaeological Park, Thurman, Hornsby, and New
Lawton.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 500 PM CDT for
northeastern Mississippi...and west Tennessee.
