Description:
At 219 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Underwood-Petersville, or 7 miles north of Florence, moving northeast
at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Green Hill, Killen, Zip City, Underwood-Petersville, St. Florian,
Lexington, and Florence.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 500 PM CDT for
northwestern Alabama.
