Description:
At 241 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Harvest, or near Meridianville, moving northeast at 35 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Toney, Plevna, Moores Mill, Hazel Green, New Market, Fisk, Lincoln,
Harvest, Meridianville, and Alabama A And M University.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 500 PM CDT for
Middle Tennessee. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch also remains in effect
until 800 PM CDT for north central and northeastern Alabama.
