Description:
At 402 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms along a line extending from near Newington to Redding.
Movement was east at 25 mph.
HAZARD...Winds in excess of 30 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Bridgeport, New Haven, Waterbury, Meriden, Milford, Middletown,
Wallingford, Shelton, Naugatuck, Guilford, Southbury, Wolcott, East
Hampton, Durham, and Newtown.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
