Description:
At 1147 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 11 miles northeast of Union to 15 miles
southwest of Chester. Movement was east at 40 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Chester State Park, Leeds, York, Cornwell, Bullock Creek, Sharon,
Carlisle, Chester, Saratt, and Lockhart.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
Conditions are favorable for development of a very brief, weak
tornado. Be prepared to take immediate action if a tornado is sighted
or a Tornado Warning is issued.
