At 1217 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
New Windsor, or near Newburgh, moving northeast at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Pea size hail and frequent cloud to ground lightning.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is possible.
Locations impacted include...
Newburgh, New Windsor, Gardnertown, Orange Lake, Firthcliffe, Vails
Gate, and Balmville.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is also occurring with this storm.
