An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 5.1 occured about miles northwest of St Thomas at about 2:59 AM AST. The earthquake has been reported as felt lightly/moderately in portions of PR and the northern Virgin Islands. Given the reported intensity of the earthquake it is believed there is no tsunami threat for Puerto Rico or the Virgin Islands. Continue to monitor your favorite news source for more information.
