Description:
At 235 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 11 miles west of Nephi to 9 miles northeast of
Delta to 15 miles northwest of Fillmore. Movement was northwest at 25
mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Delta, Hinckley, Oak City, Leamington, Lynndyl, Abraham, Little
Sahara State Park, Mc Cornick, Jericho, Sutherland, Sugarville, and
Tintic Junction.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 15 between mile markers 211 and 216.
US Route 6 between mile markers 75 and 138.
US Route 50 between mile markers 90 and 108.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
