Description: 
At 449 PM MST, thunderstorms were clustered near Phoenix International Raceway, or near Avondale, moving north at 15 mph. Locations impacted include... Phoenix, Glendale, Scottsdale, Peoria, Surprise, Avondale, Goodyear, Buckeye, El Mirage, Paradise Valley, Tolleson, Youngtown, Waddell, Laveen, Cashion, Sun City, New River, Sun City West, Estrella, and Litchfield Park. Thunderstorms will continue to develop and move northward through Maricopa County including the West and North Valley. Storms will be capable of producing localized wind gusts to 40 to 50 mph and pea sized hail. Brief torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storm, and may cause localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.
