Description:
At 616 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Paradise Hills, or 6 miles southwest of Rio Rancho, moving north at
35 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible.
Locations impacted include...
Rio Rancho, Corrales, Mariposa, Northern Meadows, Rio Rancho City
Center, Vista Hills, Enchanted Hills, Cabezon, Rio Rancho Intel
Area and Zia Pueblo.
This includes Highway 550 between Mile Markers 5 and 18.
Instruction:
Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening
weather conditions.
Motorists can expect brief but sudden changes in visibility and
ponding of water on roadways as storms move through the area.
