Description:
At 822 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Godwin, or 14 miles southeast of Lillington, moving north at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and penny size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Dunn, Angier, Benson, Godwin, Erwin, Coats, Four Oaks, Wade, Falcon,
and Spivey's Corner.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
